ORISCON organises free vaccine clinic to support local community

In response to the severe impact of this year’s flu season, Oriscon is taking a proactive step to support the local community by organizing a free vaccine clinic. Recognizing the deeper and longer-lasting effects of the flu this year, the initiative aims to emphasize the crucial importance of vaccination.

The flu season has particularly strained vulnerable and migrant families, many of whom avoid vaccinations due to the financial burden, especially those without Medicare. Understanding these challenges, Oriscon, in collaboration with the local health district, Mission Australia, Dubbo Connecting Communities, and Buniyong School as Community Centre, is set to provide much-needed relief.

The free vaccine clinic will take place on Friday, June 28th, from 10 am to 4 pm at the Mission Australia site, located at the corner of Wingewarra and Darling Street. This initiative is designed to ensure that everyone, regardless of their financial situation or healthcare coverage, has access to the flu vaccine.

This effort is more than just a health service; it’s a community-driven initiative to protect the most vulnerable members of society. By making vaccinations accessible, Oriscon and its partners are not only addressing immediate health concerns but also fostering a healthier, more resilient community.

The free vaccine clinic underscores the importance of community solidarity and public health. It’s a call to action for everyone to come forward, get vaccinated, and contribute to the well-being of the entire community.
